warranties the original tread of their products by a 5 year period from the purchase date against problems in the manufacturing process, materials used and labour which are verified by a Goodyear technician.
This policy covers all the OTR Goodyear products when the serial number is readable. It will be Goodyear decision that any tyre that is under this policy and that presents a manufacturing defect will be repaired or replaced by a new tyre type of the same type and size, based on the table below.
In this case it will be charged only the amount of the tread wear of the used tyred, taking into consideration also the remaining tyre life, the actual price for that tyre and the related taxes. Goodyear responsibility for imported products will be based on the freight cost in the inbound port, prior to the import tax payment. Percentages will be determined by the next table.

RECOMMENDATION FOR THE OWNER
Verify that the OTR tyres are indicated for your equipment according to the WCF (Work Capacity Factor) for loaders (code “L”), or according to TKPH (Tons Kilometer per Hour) for truck (code “E”).
Use the equipment with the load capacity and the speed recommended by Goodyear/ALAPA. The tyres are developed to stand load variables up to 15% for bias tyres and 7% for radial tyres.
The following steps have to be considered when mounting the tyre.
Clean the rim and the wheel and paint them with vegetal tint prior to the mounting.
Always use lubricant IZY-SEEL to facilitate the mounting.
Certify that for OTR tyres new o-rings are being used.
Use new tube (for tube type tyres)
In both cases verify that the dimensions are recommended and according to the tyre size.
Never repair or replace wheels, o-rings with inflated tyres.
Stored tyres should not be exposed to the sunlight, rain and they do not have to be next to oil derived products, electric devises, welding equipment, generators or voltage converters.
Inflate your tyres in cold at least once per week.
Never remove hot air from your tyres. You might cause irreversible damage to the carcass.
Warranty will not be valid when the tyre present damages or is out of service for the following reasons:
Warranty presented for tyres purchased more than (05) years ago.
Irregular tread wear or tyre damages because of impacts, cuts, separations done because of cuts; damages caused by the equipment; inadequate procedures followed when mounting the tyre; damages caused by using bad quality wheels or that are not maintained according to manufacturer instructions; accelerated tread wear caused by vehicle mechanical problems or high speed operations.
Tyres used on equipment in which the original specifications had been altered and their characteristics had been modified.
Failures of the tyres caused by the used of prohibited materials used in their fill or nor recommended liquids.
Tyres repaired or retreaded by not authorized service providers.
Tyres that were used over the TKPH or WCF specified for the tyre that is being claimed. The values for the TKPH and WCF have been published by Goodyear.
Tyres which beads had been mounted inadequately. Marks caused by the wheel around the bead circumference are sufficient evidences of inadequate mounting.
Incorrect tyres and wheels applications.
Tyres that run on prohibited places, that have used not recommended tubes for the size of the tyre and wheel, or that have been used.
Wasted times will not be covered by this policy caused by, downtimes of the vehicle and the resulting damages.
